iDtools International BV

Rimmer Hylkema, managing director and major shareholder

iDtools International BV has been founded in 2013 by Rimmer Hylkema and is responsible for the worldwide marketing and sales of induction tools, among which the iDuctor.

iDtools International BV has commissioned HedoN in 2013 to develop a compact induction tool, in collaboration with industrial design-bureau Flex in Delft: the iDuctor W1200. In this collaboration HedoN was responsible for the technique and production and industrial design bureau Flex was responsible for the design of the iDuctor W1200.

The iDuctor is a unique tool that can for example heat rusty bolts by induction, in order to make them expand and easier to loosen up. The iDuctor is being used in automotive, nautic and petro-chemical industry, infrastructural and aerospace industry.

In 2018 a further development of the iDuctor W1200 was carried out to almost double the power to 2300 Watt within the same exterior casing. The new iDuctor is called the “iDuctor Power+ W2300” and is as a handheld induction tool with this capacity unique in the world.

It has been awarded several international prizes, e.g. ‘IF product design’ in 2013 and ‘good industrial design’ in 2014. The iDuctor Power+ W2300 was also nominated for the Innovation Award Automechanics in 2018.

HedoN is now responsible for development, production and technical service of all electronic tools of iDtools International BV. HedoN guarantees high quality, reliability and service!
