RoHS

RoHS stands for ‘Restriction of Hazardous Substances’. This is an European Union Directive: The expanded list for RoHs version 3 is applicable at present. This EU-Directive maximizes the degree of specific dangerous substances that can be contained in an electric or electronic appliance. The expanded list for RoHS3 is as follows:

  • Lead (Pb)
  • Mercury (Hg)
  • Cadmium (Cd)
  • Hexavalent chromium (Cr6+)
  • Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB)
  • Polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE)
  • Bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP)
  • Butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP)
  • Dibutyl phthalate (DBP)
  • Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP)

HedoN usually takes responsibility regarding RoHS compliance for designed and developed products. This means that HedoN ensures that delivered products will comply with the actual RoHS-directive. In the event that a product for whatever reason cannot comply with the directive this will be noticed and communicated with the customer in due time in order to find a suitable solution.
